In 2011, The Lyon Area Economic Development Agency assisted 60 companies in their development in the Lyon area, thereby generating 608 jobs immediately and 1,345 jobs in 3 years. 40% of these new companies are in the life sciences and clean technology: sectors in which the region excels.
Once again this year, Lyon attracted many foreign companies, as 55% of the projects involved foreign capital, coming in particular from Germany, North America and Japan. This internationalization of the region is thanks in large part to the outreach work performed by the people at Aderly.
