By winning on Saturday night at the end of the last day of the championship against Auxerre, the Olympique Lyonnais Club won the title of Champion of France for the 7th time in a row.
Already the League 1 winner, Lyon won the championship after an exceptional season. Although the Club des Girondins were catching up with Lyon's team towards the end of the championship, OL managed to stay on top and hold onto their title. With this new victory, Lyon will go down in history as one of the greatest clubs in Europe.
