The 8th edition of the Electronic Music Festival took place in Lyon on 12-16 May and attracted a little over 81, 000 spectators; 39, 100 of whom attended paying gigs, and some 42, 000 visited free sites. This was the greatest attendance in the event's history.
For the first time since the festival began in 2003, these paying events, which took place at the Marché Gare, at the Rhone swimming pool and the Celestins theatre, were booked up before the doors even opened! Faced with this overwhelming enthusiasm, the organizers plan to redefine certain logistical aspects for the next festival.
The artistic talent of this 8th edition also included some of the best in this festival's history, with amazing performances that delighted crowds throughout the event.

These record figures, which confirm the festival's growing success with each year, suggest that the 9th edition, set to take place on 1-5 June, will be more than exceptional.
